Untitled ARSEO Project #8217: Non-Physical Artworks (Performance/Live Art)

Non-Physical Artworks (Performance/live art)

DESCRIPTION:

Audio segments are to be selected by a) An ARSEO operative b) external artistic collaborator.
The nature of these audio segments is solely at the choice of the active subject, some examples of audio segments could include:

1. A field at sunset 2. The sound of the crowd 3. Assorted heartbeats at varying rates; at rest, at panic and on the point of love 4. A room after you have left.

It is suggested that the external artistic collaborator (EAC) should be scoured from the area of artistic endeavour referred to as ‘Performance’ or ‘Live Art’. The reason for this is to request the EAC to supply audio segments from their work into this project.

Once these segments have been collected, the main part of the project can begin. For this we will need a volunteer subject, this subject will be supplied with the audio segments in a playback format of their choice.

The subject/volunteer will be then requested to playback these audio segments during a period of unconsciousness (sleep). It is hope that the audio segments will stimulate the subconscious in a way that they would ‘dream’ a performance.

Thereby creating a unique non-physical artwork which exists fundamentally within the mind of the volunteer/subjects mind. Though the volunteer/subject can recount their experience.

There are options where the volunteer/subject is unaware of the exposure to audio segments, this is to developed at an later date.

Future Planning Present Learning Past Understood

The ARSEO are currently working on the The Whispers Into The Other Project a project to create a Trans-Communication device or a Para-Audio Interpolator or if you will a Ghost Post. The intent behind the project is to allow access to the invisible memories and emotions stored within a location, which commonly manifest themselves as hauntings.
Currently the device will only offer one-way (listening) communication but we here at the ARSEO hope to develop the device with inter-communicational capabilities.
That is all

The ARSEO at the 'poolside : The DreamVision Project

While at the 'poolside the ARSEO took the oppurtunity to enlist you (the subject) in the development of one of our projects. In this case it was The DreamVision Project which is the ARSEO's attempt to develop a 'Catatonicagraph' or dream reading device, the device was the combitation of two technologies:

1. the anicent (a dreamcatcher) 2.the contemporary (a television)

as this is a project which was 'in development' the subject was placed into a 'passive' position and asked to read the images on the screen.

The following is an record of the subjects interactions with The DreamVision Project:

  1. cell woman running
  2. nothing electronic interference??
  3. prince after a concert
  4. two people having a conversation
  5. possibly the blurred outlined of a woman sat in a chair (not me)
  6. black + white merging colours looked like oil in a lake
  7. a figure of a mans head and shoulders shadowy things
  8. people walking
  9. old person infront of picture
  10. scratchy etchings of rhythms
  11. the falling man
  12. i want to fly
  13. people - my father

The ARSEO at the 'poolside

On the date of May 22nd 2010 the ARSEO was invited to present some of its ongoing projects to the public at large as part of the 'poolside emergency at the Bluecoat. The location selected for these interaction was the library a room which was already a focus for the processing of information

In order to concentrate the psychic energy within this room I decided to use a reflected material, this also had the effect of deflecting any outside and unwanted psychic invasions, (after involvement with the ARSEO subjects where provide with 'thought shields' for their protection)

Within this prepared space subjects interacted with three of the ARSEO projects, they where The DreamVision Project and The Make It Happen Project and The VALIS Project. After interaction with each of these projects Subjects where required to record their reactions as some of these reactions will require the passing of time in order to be activated those reactions shall be posted at the correct dates upon this blog.

The 23 Project

For this installment of The 23 Project, we here at ARSEO decided to explore the 23 engima selecting every 23rd word on the 23rd page of a national newspaper bought on the 23rd March 2010, in order to determine if doing so would reveal any hidden messages

here are the words:

lungs better without low from like chest and I Doctors there eight heart my aches I've myself is destroyed it post-natal couldn't she to system until widely such they limited and game own This our had as to are the Committee and and term receives

if there is an hidden message here it seems to relate towards the body? prehaps unless that is to be taken as metaphorical

investigation will continue

The 23 Project

Here is the initial stage of The 23 Project:

The first action was to walk for 23 minutes and record what was there at the end of my journey. I was intrigued by what i discovered.

Is it possible that someone or something was attempting to create someform of communcation device, but to communcate with who or what, is it an attempt to contact with other forms of life?

Thursday 25 February 2010

The 23 Project

From the 1st of March 2010 we here at the ARSEO will be undertaking The 23 Project, a project which will explore the power of the number 23.

This exploration will take the form of a series of actions which will involve the number 23 in some manner. The actions will be recorded and posted here upon this blog.
